I don't understand what you're saying here, Jen. I birthed mine naturally, albeit not in my home or in water as you did, and while I wouldn't suggest that my birthings were uncomfortable, I WOULD suggest that I made a concerted effort to put my mind on something (ANYTHING) else at the time.
Looks to me like you're funking lately. That's not a bad thing, IMO, but something to recognize in yourself, I think.
i think anyone can have a natural childbirth. anyone! but any level of discomfort i experienced was nothing in comparison to the person in the article - that's all im saying.
i don't get the critisism of you here. Childbirth hurts. Anyone that says it doesn't is nuts. yes it is a totally natural, normal and worthwhile pain and there are ways to ease it but it still hurts. And all you are saying here is that you had it easy compared to this woman. So I don't get why you are getting flack for it.
holy crap, if you can give birth while hanging from a tree, you could do anything! kinda puts a new perspective on birth. maybe she WAS a sorcerer! (kidding).
