viva revolucion!

i have a small collection of aprons and i saw these today and um drooled to say the least. yesterday augustine helped me make cookies for small group tonight and took great care when picking out which smock he wore to help. i wore a matching half apron that [info]tracied sent me. anyways i'm making some cupcake pops for church on sunday and this is the first time ive ever been kind of nervous to bake something. ive never had much exercises of the more technical aspects of baking. we'll see...

my left hip has been acting like an 80 yr old arthritic. i can walk down a set of stairs just fine but when i attempt to walk up them i look ridiculous and i have to hold onto the rail like my life depends on it. it's quite comical but it still hurts so im less amused that onlookers i suppose.

ah today is MLK day. this is probably my favorite holiday to observe, even though i hold no ceremony about it. i'm so just in love with him and his passion, how he fought for peace how he did. there are many paths to the same result, some less than ideal. i am one who is always going to default to non-violent action as a means for peace and martin luther kind jr is certainly a figure head of that movement. did i mention that im planning a tattoo themed around christian peacemaking/pacifism? i am.

crass - bloody revolutions

& mostly unrelated but for some reason ive been listening to crass again. gosh this band used to drive my parents INSANE when i was in high school. this song is really good though.

Hey... I've been reading your posts for a while and just wanted to say I think you're pretty cool (sorry, for the nerdiness of that statement, but I am a bit of a nerd). I just wanted to invite you to my blog if you're interested, I'd love to have you.

I've just stumbled upon your blog! I love it! I have those robot aprons hanging in my kitchen as well. They were perfect for my kids. They use them when they paint!
