it finally happened! olive cut off her own hair! david and i were watching a movie and i heard some scuffling feet upstairs. i thought olive might be sleep walking or talking so i went up there and to my horror found out that her hair was lopped off in the front on both sides (nearly to her scalp in parts!) as well as part of her comforter. i don't know if she is is upset about deacon (probable) or david leaving tomorrow for a few days on business (also probable) or if she is just being a booger but WHAT THE HECK. one of the first things i said to david was "i can't believe it took her almost 4 years to do this!" because let's be real this girl is as ornery as they come. still, all her pretty hair is gone. we have recently developed a sweet routine of brushing and straightening and curling her hair that i really enjoyed. sure it will grow out but DANG IT CHILD YA GIVE ME WHITE HAIRS.

i have a pciture of when i cut my own hair and sported micro-mini bangs (if you can even call them that) for awhile.

This may not help but if I saw a little girl with that haircut I would be like "what an adorable cut!"
her hair is most definitely the epitome of adorable and darn it if she doesn't know it and exploit that fact to everyone who comments on it :) it is difficult to punish her about such things when it's so stinking cute.
