An update from Christine on Renee --

We will be running an announcement in the Marysville Journal Tribune, hopefully as early as Monday morning. There will be a seperate announcement in the paper with the details for Renee's "Celebration of Life" gathering. Look for that in the next couple weeks and spread the word- we want this to be really special.

We are meeting Wednesday morning at the Scioto Downs (23 South) parking lot and carpooling to West Virginia. We pull out of the parking lot at 8:30am sharp, so don't be late.

Vickie Sullivan and Kim Heminger have offered to drive some of us. If everyone drives up to SD, we can decide who's riding with whom once we meet. I know gas money is hard to come by, so we're trying to make this as easy as we can on everyone who wants to attend.

More to come, and thanks everyone for the condolences. This is a really difficult time for my husband and I, as well as for all of Renee's family and friends. I've been listening to everyone's memories of her and in the wake of tragedy it's always refreshing to hear the good ol' times. So thanks for your prayers and support. I know in the next couple weeks, we will bid Renee a sweet farewell she would've been proud of.

and a note from me. This was not, repeat not, a drug overdose. Her toxicology report was clean, there were no drugs found near her at the time of her death, and she was involved in a program that reported that she had been clean for over a year.

I'm so sorry - I can only imagine things running through your head and heart right now. I am really happy to hear that, at the very least, this good news (the clean report) was passed along and that some sorrows can be lifted. I hope everyone that is coming together can be of some comfort to each other- it sounds like she has some really great people remembering her.
